Equipment

  • Box Grater For finely grating sharp cheddar cheese

    8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine room-temperature cream cheese (8 ounces), mayonnaise (½ cup), garlic powder (½ teaspoon), onion powder (½ teaspoon), and Worcestershire sauce (1 teaspoon). Mix until smooth and evenly combined with no lumps.
8 ounces cream cheese, ½ cup mayonnaise, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  3. Fold in the grated cheddar cheese and mix thoroughly until cheese is evenly distributed throughout the mayo mixture, scraping the bowl sides to catch unmixed spots.
    8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  4. Drain one 4-ounce jar of diced pimentos and pat dry with paper towels. Gently fold pimentos into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed, avoiding overmixing to keep pimento pieces intact.
    4 ounces diced pimentos
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the mixture at least 1 hour so flavors meld and the spread firms to a spreadable consistency. Taste after chilling and adjust seasoning if needed.
