Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes to ensure consistent heat.
- Trim asparagus ends and pat dry thoroughly to prevent sogginess inside the wrap.
- Wrap 3–4 asparagus spears tightly with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Arrange bundles in the air fryer basket in a single layer with at least ½ inch (1.3 cm) space between for air circulation.
- Cook for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bacon is golden and crispy and asparagus is tender but firm.
Notes
- Use medium-thickness asparagus for the best balance of tender and firm texture.
- Thin sliced bacon crisps well and wraps easily.
- Optionally secure with toothpicks for thicker asparagus or bacon.
- Store cooled bundles in an airtight container and reheat in a 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes to restore crispiness.
- Freeze for up to 2 months; thaw in fridge before reheating.
- Add a splash of lemon juice before serving to brighten flavors.
