Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar Use 1 tablespoon per 1 tablespoon of raspberry vinegar; add a pinch of sugar or honey to mimic mild sweetness if needed.
  • ACV & Raspberry Jam Use 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar plus 1 teaspoon raspberry jam per 1 tablespoon of raspberry vinegar; whisk jam thoroughly to dissolve chunks.
  • 1 tablespoon Champagne Vinegar Use 1 tablespoon per 1 tablespoon of raspberry vinegar; add a pinch of sugar if brightness is needed.
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar Use 1 tablespoon per 1 tablespoon of raspberry vinegar; reduce added sugar as balsamic is sweeter.
  • White Wine & Lemon Use 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar plus 1 teaspoon lemon juice per 1 tablespoon of raspberry vinegar; start with half lemon juice and taste.
  • Redcurrant Jelly & Vinegar Use 1 tablespoon vinegar plus 1 teaspoon redcurrant jelly per 1 tablespoon raspberry vinegar; whisk jelly until dissolved for even flavor.
  • Cranberry Juice & Vinegar Use 2 tablespoons cranberry juice plus 1 teaspoon vinegar per 1 tablespoon raspberry vinegar; reduce other liquids slightly to balance.

Method

  1. Choose your substitute based on the recipe use—vinaigrettes, glazes, marinades, or sauces.
  2. Prepare jam or jelly mixes by whisking thoroughly to dissolve chunks for even distribution.
  3. Apply each substitute using the specified ratios to match the original vinegar amount.
  4. Adjust sweetness by adding sugar or honey as needed for sharper vinegars.
  5. Taste the dish after mixing the substitute to ensure the balance of acidity and fruitiness.

Notes

Whisk ACV and raspberry jam well to prevent gritty clumps and uneven flavor distribution.
