  • 0.5 cup Irish Whiskey Mix ½ cup with ½ cup sweetened condensed milk for Whiskey Condensed Milk substitute
  • 0.5 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk Mix ½ cup with whiskey for Whiskey Condensed Milk substitute; very sweet and thick

Method

  1. Determine what role Irish Cream is playing—creaminess, alcohol content, or both—to pick the suitable substitute.
  2. For a direct replacement with both cream and alcohol, use Baileys Irish Cream in a 1:1 ratio.
  3. To create a fresh whiskey cream mix, combine ¾ cup heavy cream with ¼ cup whiskey; whisk thoroughly and refrigerate, use within 3 days.
  4. For coffee flavor and alcohol without creaminess, use ¾ cup coffee liqueur per 1 cup Irish Cream; add a splash of cream if needed for body.
  5. Use amaretto ½ to ¾ cup per 1 cup Irish Cream to add almond notes; add a tablespoon of cream if recipe needs more richness.
  6. Mix equal parts coconut cream and whiskey for a dairy-free, tropical-flavored substitute; shake or whisk thoroughly before use.
  7. For non-alcoholic baking or coffee drinks, mix 1 cup heavy cream with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon sugar for vanilla cream mix.
  8. For a very sweet, thick substitute, mix ½ cup whiskey with ½ cup sweetened condensed milk; stir thoroughly and reduce added sugar in recipe.
  9. Taste and adjust sweetness or creaminess after substitution to maintain balanced flavor and texture.

Notes

Add Baileys slowly and taste-test to avoid overpowering sweetness or altering texture.
